Front End Lead

Job Purpose

 

Ensuring daily goals are met by the team while ensuring exceptional customer service to all customers.  Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company systems, policies and procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Implement and enforce company procedures in all areas

  • Ensure the store is clean at all times

  • Set goals and individual tasks for each team member on the shift

  • Ensure that all employees have tasks and a clear understanding of the expectations for the shift

  • Ensure that all employees have a “peep in their step” and keep themselves busy at all times.

  • Foster a spirit of cooperation and team work

  • Fill out the Red Book

  • Ensure all cashier tills are counted and all paperwork is correct.

  • Responsible for all items on the closing checklist

  • Resolve employee issues; escalating when necessary

  • Executing the rag plan per the color tag schedule.  Recording rag numbers.

  • General oversight of product on the floor relating to racks being bunched up, tray and shelves been dirty and over-crowded and product being in the wrong place.

  • Any other duties assigned by the store manager

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Effective communication skills

  • Friendly personality

  • Ability to follow directions

  • Ability to give direction

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Continuous standing, bending, stooping and frequent lifting

 

 

 

Working conditions

              

This can be a high stress position.  There are times when the work load is heavy and it is expected that this position handle that stress and continue to work and motivate the team to reach the goal.
