Store Manager

Job purpose

 

Successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of the successful operation of the business, including business operations, customer service and retention, promotions, employee training and development, inventory, and financial management.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.    

    

  • Assure reaching all sales and revenue goals including developing sales strategies and tactical implementation.

  • Analyze business trends, track competitor landscape, share best practices with other stores.

  • Own store issues, proactively identify challenges and create improvement plans

  • Direct responsibility for all day-to-day store operations.

  • Train and develop production staff to increase product knowledge and pricing accuracy.     

  • Conduct employee reviews and training

  • Effectively executes point-of-sales transactions, nightly reconciliation, etc. Must have the ability to trouble shoot basic POS issues.

  • Maintain internal visual merchandising and in-store displays and ensure store appearance.

  • Maintain proper inventory controls, communicate inventory levels and forecast production needs so that the store will maintain the correct amount of inventory on the floor in order to meet the sales goals.



Qualifications

  • Must have a working knowledge of MS office including excel, work and outlook

  • Minimum of Two (2) years of retail sales management experience.

  • Talent for personnel training, coaching, and development.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.
     

The selected candidate will be in training for a minimum of 2 months.  Training will be done at all 3 Thrift Giant locations in the metroplex.
